Infectious and Rare Diseases

Infectious diseases are caused by the entry and manifestation of pathogenic bacteria, viz. bacteria and viruses. Many infectious diseases require a carrier to enter the human body system. These carriers can be lice, houseflies, mosquitoes, animals, etc. Once inside, these bacteria replicate themselves and exploit the normal functioning of the body's tissues and thus cause disease. Cholera, malaria, typhoid, common cold, flu are just some of the infectious or contagious diseases that spread from person to person or through water, air, and food.
