Dr. Ali is a Clinical and Molecular geneticist certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG), currently serving as medical director in global clinical development at Ultragenyx pharmaceutical in California, USA. Dr. Ali’s experience includes clinical genetics practice [full-time/USA previously and telemedicine/MENA currently], leadership and directorship roles at a CLIA-CAP certified DNA diagnostic laboratory/USA [previously], and translational research experience at the National Institutes of Health (NIH)/USA [previously]. Dr. Ali also sits on the gene editing task force/gene therapy committee at Alliance for Regenerative Medicine (ARM) and pediatric expert work group at the International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH).
