Biography
She has Doctor Degree in Microbiology and Immunology. She has established the Quality Control Program of vaccines and the Brazilian Biosafety Program at the Ministry of Health in Brazil, where she has worked for 38 years. She has mentored quality control and biosafety trainings as an international consultant. She has founded the Brazilian Biosafety Association and the International Federation of Biosafety Associations. She was Chairperson of the Brazilian Biosafety Committee and has represented Brazil in several international agreements. She was adviser to many countries on Biosafety of Biotechnology procedures and she was awarded by the International Federation of Biosafety Association as Biosafety Hero in 2015.
